The world of saunas is a diverse and vibrant one. Everyone can choose the type of sauna and the style of sauna visit that best suits them, depending on the desired effect.
A sauna can have a calming or invigorating effect. It can be a dry sauna or a steam sauna. It can be traditional or even a bio sauna. Additionally, there are various types of infusions. For example, essential oils or salt can be used while enjoying a sauna session.
The sauna experience can be enriched with various accessories. For instance, there is sauna honey, which nourishes and moisturizes the skin, or honey soap, which softens the skin with its natural ingredients. Essential oils and Himalayan salt are also excellent options for the sauna, as they contribute to relaxation, cleanse the airways, and promote recovery.
The Dry Sauna
The traditional Finnish sauna is a dry sauna. A wood or electric sauna stove provides the high temperatures of 80 - 90° C. The high temperature ensures that sweating begins immediately. This removes toxins from our body, improving the condition of the skin.
The temperature is high, but the humidity is low, which is why this sauna is also called a dry sauna.
A sauna session lasts about 10-15 minutes, followed by a recommended relaxation period of 20-25 minutes. After a sauna session, it is advised to cool down with cold water.
This can be a shower, but sauna plunge buckets or wall-mounted plunge pools are also increasingly popular.
In the dry sauna, the pores of the skin open up. In cold water, however, they contract, which increases skin elasticity and helps restore blood pressure and body temperature.
The effects of the sauna can be enhanced with various sauna accessories, such as sauna honey, honey soap, essential oils, or salt.
Embrace the rejuvenating experience of the sauna and discover a path to holistic well-being.
Immerse yourself in the world of saunas and get one step closer to health and renewal with every drop of sweat.
